Labour has just announced that they are holding a democracy review. The party asks:
‘Does the way we currently do things work? Do you think changes are needed? We want to hear from you, our members.
Take part in our Democracy Review by getting your local branch, Constituency Labour Party, Young Labour Group, Women’s Forum, Ethnic Minority Forum, socialist society or affiliated trade union to discuss the issues and make a submission – or put in a response as an individual’.
This would seem to be a great opportunity to seek ways of including participative and deliberative processes into the way the party function and develops its policies and strategy.
